ABOUT KATE
I’m Kate. I grew up in a mid-size city in Ontario, I have a BA (Hons) in political science from the University of Toronto, I was the Senior Writer at Eye Weekly (now The Grid), and I am currently a freelance writer, columnist and consultant.
Mostly, I write the Girl News column for Vice (Fridays), the Thirtyish advice column for The Grid (Thursdays), the 1+1 relationships column for the National Post (every other Wednesday) and culture and opinion columns for ELLE Canada (semi-monthly). I also do a limited amount of consulting and copy-writing and an even more limited amount of editing, teaching and speaking.
I’m 31, I live in Toronto most of the time, and in LA for the winter, which is verra, verra nice.
